Applications

Argoniv 120 Élite is suitable for backings, smoothing and levelling interior concrete, mortar, terrazzo, mosaic or stone surfaces, for covering with light pavements such as parquet, carpeting, ceramics, etc.
Adherent base suitable for mortars and adhesives (for ceramics) of any kind. Suitable for laying carpets, floating floors (parquet, carpeting, etc.), fixing lino, PVC, sports paving, polyurethane-resin-based linings, etc.
This mortar can be walked on after only a few hours, although the facing should not be laid until at least 3 days after applying the mortar.

Performance

The approximate yield of ARGONIV 120 Élite is 30 kg/m² when applied to a thickness of 20 mm.

Presentation

25 kg sacks (1,000 kg pallet).

Storage

In the original container in a covered area, for up to 12 months.

Support

The support should be sturdy, absorbent to some extent, completely set, as rough as possible and free of dust, paint, oil, etc.
The humidity of the support should be < 3%, so leave the support at least three weeks to dry thoroughly before using this product. If exposed to direct sunlight or highly absorbent, wetting the support first or laying a bridging joint is advisable first.

Instructions for use

1. Place the levels on the support, arranged evenly.
2. Mix mechanically with clean water until an even, plastic mixture is achieved, without any lumps, using 19% water (approx. 4.75 l/sack).
3. Leave the mixture to stand for 5 minutes and then remix before applying.
4. When applying a self-levelling product it is essential to apply a primer first (e.g. ARGONIV JOINT) to serve as a bridging joint between old concrete and new mortar and seal the support to prevent any bubbling of the self-levelling product.
5. Spread the material evenly (using a pump), filling until the level marked is reached.
6. Pass a vibrating bar over the surface to eliminate any air bubbles.
7. The recommended thickness is 0.5–3.5 cm.
8. Curing should be done by keeping the mortar surfaces wet from the moment they are laid and for about 7 days, depending on the ambient conditions. Film-forming agents may be used for curing. Spread the curing liquid with a spray gun, paintbrush, stiff brush or roller to achieve a thin, even coating.

Recommendations

Do not apply onto gypsum-based surfaces.
Do not apply at extreme temperatures (below 5 ºC or above 35 ºC).
Protect from wind and direct sunlight.
Make dilation joints max. every 80 m², fitting perimeter joints and respecting the building’s structural joints.
